Editorial discretion

Submission of a book, author-profile information, news item, or advertising inquiry does not guarantee publication or acceptance. Publishville.com may edit, categorize, schedule, decline, archive, merge duplicate records, or remove content at its editorial discretion.

Validation codes and bulk tools

Validation codes are issued at Publishville.com’s discretion to previously verified authors or publishers. A validation code is confidential, may be revoked, rotated, or expired at any time, and confirms only the source of a submission. It does not guarantee acceptance, accuracy, cover-image rights, advertising approval, or publication. Bulk-imported books and covers remain subject to the same manual editorial and rights review as individual submissions.

Manage My Books and proposed edits

Validated authors and publishers may use accountless management tools to propose metadata, edition, retailer-link, series/universe, character, and cover changes. These proposals do not directly edit the public record. Publishville.com reviews and may approve, partially approve, edit, or reject proposed changes.

External series/universe embeds

Validated authors and publishers may generate simplified external series/universe views from approved public Publishville.com data. Hosted embeds and downloaded HTML must retain the visible Publishville.com attribution/link supplied by the tool. Pending or rejected data is not included.

Third-party catalog/API data

Optional external catalog integrations may be enabled or disabled at any time. Data and images supplied through a third-party API remain subject to that provider’s applicable terms, availability, and caching requirements. Publishville.com does not guarantee continued availability of any external integration.

Submitted material

By submitting information, you represent that you are authorized to provide it and grant Publishville.com permission to use the submitted factual metadata, author biography, official author links, and promotional text for evaluating and, if approved, presenting the title and related author profile on the site.

Book-cover artwork

If you upload one or more book covers, individually or through the bulk-cover tools, you represent that you own or control the necessary rights or have authority from the applicable copyright owner or licensor to provide the image. You grant Publishville.com a non-exclusive permission to store, reproduce, and publicly display the approved image in connection with the submitted book and related Publishville.com editorial pages. Cover approval is separate from approval of the underlying book listing, and Publishville.com may decline, disable, or remove a cover at any time, including while a rights concern is reviewed. Any required credit supplied with the submission should be accurate and complete.

Author profiles

Author profiles are editorial database records, not user accounts. Publishville.com may normalize author names, merge duplicate profiles, link coauthors and pen names as appropriate, and connect approved profiles to books, series, universes, genres, and official external links.

External links and purchases

Publishville.com links to independent retailer, publisher, author, social-media, and source websites. Transactions and interactions occur on those third-party sites, not on Publishville.com, and are governed by their terms and policies.

Affiliate relationships and advertising

Publishville.com may receive compensation from qualifying purchases through affiliate links or from clearly labeled paid advertisements. Advertising does not control editorial coverage.

Prohibited use

Do not misuse forms, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the site, or submit unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or prohibited content.

Changes

These terms may be updated as Publishville.com adds features or changes operations. The version in effect when you use the site applies to that use.
